I would not describe myself as a writer, however, the moments in which I do choose to write, I feel like an author. I see writing as having a conversation with your audience. Being able to converse with my audience by making my writing personal is a strength of mine. I always find a way to relate the topic of conversation to my life and my experiences, as well as encourage my audience to do the same. I am an organized writer and ensure that my paragraphs transition in a way that flows, just as conversations do. As I edit my own writings, I place myself in my readers’ position and analyze what I hope to gain from my writing. Making sure that my readers understand my stance, while still allowing them to make their own assumptions is always a goal of mine. Strengthening my ability to use arguments that counteract my claims as a way to further enhance my argument is also a goal of mine.
